Whether you are a show enthusiast, breeder, or simply enjoy spending time with rabbits, the Holland Lop is an endearing companion for people of all ages. Please visit the sections below to learn more about the Holland Lop breed, its history, and club and people who love and support them.

The Club
The Holland Lop Rabbit Club (HLRSC) is an organization comprised of Holland Lop rabbit owners, breeders, and fanciers from around the world. Since its formation, the HLRSC has been dedicated to protecting and advancing the Holland Lop breed and supporting those who love them.

Breed Standard
The Holland Lop is one of the top five most popular breeds in the American Rabbit Breeders Association, a world-renown, full-service, 49 breed registry. Its compact size paired with a beautiful head, lopped ears, and endearing, sweet temper makes it a special addition to the rabbit world and the lives of many people.

History & Heritage
In 1949, Adriann de Crock of Tilburg, Holland, began developing the Holland Lop to produce a smaller lop-eared rabbit by mainly crossing French Lops and Netherland Dwarfs. The Holland Lop was later recognized in 1964 by the Netherland’s Governing Rabbit Council. Aleck Brook’s importation of stock from Holland led to their acceptance by ARBA in 1979.

Hall of Fame
The HLRSC Hall of Fame (HOF) was established in 1997 for the purpose of recognizing and showcasing special and dedicated breeders who have made significant contributions to the Holland Lop breed and its advancement. We hope you enjoy meeting and learning more about the HLRSC HOF inductees and their dedication to the Holland Lop.
